SMATHERS Mary Catherine Smathers passed from this life and into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at her residence just days shy of her 72nd birthday. Waiting to greet her are her husband E. Jan Smathers, parents Mary & Tom Sweetland, father-in-law Shug, sister-in-law Shirley, brother-in-law Dale Berryman, son-in-law Earl Waller, as well as many others that have made the journey before. Left to celebrate her life is her mother-in-law Ila, sister Margaret Berryman, children Eddie (Robin), Thomas (Marcia), and Sandy Waller; grandchildren, Takia and Elijah Waller, Kaitlin and Bailey Smathers, Leslie Edwards, Phillip Thomas, Trevor Randall as well as great grandchildren Alexia and Haylea Edwards.
