Obituary

Aaron Joseph Gawarecki, a week shy of 60, passed away on 10/29/24. Born on 11/7/64 in Louisville Kentucky, he was a loving father to Nathan Gawarecki. Beloved by all who spoke with him. For a man who did not always talk much, he practiced the most important aspect of talking to others, listening. It didn't matter what you were going to talk about, or if he understood any of what you were saying, but he would always lend an ear to those who wanted to talk.

Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent 26 years working as a copier technician for Gordon Flesch, where he was known for caring for his clients and doing what he could to make sure they were always supported and felt that they received proper service. In his time there, he was bestowed the technician of the year honor twice and was rewarded for over 25 years of service. Following his departure from Gordon Flesch, he joined Floyd Bell. In his few years there, he thrived. He loved working with his hands and helping to build (and repair) electronic boards. But what he loved most about this new opportunity, was the sense of family he received. He always valued family and doing what he could to help others.

Though Dad never liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his years of life honored. He was a man of kindness, a man of generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. If he knew you needed something, he would find a way to help. He would drop what he was doing if you said you needed even a little bit of assistance, no matter cost or time. He was the best worker an employer could ask for, the best brother, uncle, and son a family could hope for, and the best father a child could ever wish for. He may be gone, but he will not be forgotten.

Aaron was laid to rest at Hughes Cemetery in Big Clifty, Kentucky.  A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon Evans Funeral Home 4171 E. Livingston Ave.
