Aleksandar "Sande" Staninovski, age 84, passed away on February 19, 2023 at home with his loving family by his side.  Aleksandar was born on March 3, 1938 in Capari, Macedonia and immigrated to Columbus, Ohio in 1967.  He was a lifelong member and supporter of St. Mary Macedonian Orthodox Church. In 2002 he retired from Lucent Technologies after 32 years of service.  Aleksandar was a man of great integrity and wisdom who lived his life with humility, honesty, and respect.  Family and friends often sought his counsel on multiple aspects of life and was a trusted advisor to many.  He was a devoted family man who loved to garden with his wife Ivka and spend time with his children and grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed and forever in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents Ile and Vasilka Staninovski, sister Jordanka, brother Dimitrije, sister Cveta and nephew Teddy.  Aleksandar is survived by his loving and caring wife of 60 years Ivka, daughter Lile (James) Lunde, and son Jon (Jennifer) Staninovski; adored grandchildren, Olivia Lunde and Alexander Lunde; several in-laws, nephews, nieces, and other relatives who called him Dedo Sande.
