Anna Grierson

8/7/1949 - 8/20/2023

Anna was born in Williamson, West Virginia to Elzava "Tootsie" Huff and Hobert Browning. Anna enjoyed her childhood, growing up with her sister, Joyce Scott. She then had her first daughter Rhonda Williams on August 31, 1967, who she loved and cherished greatly. Anna married John Walter Grierson June of 1972 and had her second child Angela Grierson on November 14, 1977, and was named after the angels of God.

They moved to Columbus, Ohio where they built a significant life for themselves searching for opportunities and hope. Anna studied to become a medical assistant and practiced this profession for 10+ years. She was the grandmother to Ethan, Alisha, Amber, and Elijah. Her grandchildren loved spending time with her and will miss her terribly.

After John passed, Anna met Clarence "Pete" Pence, the love of her life who brought her love and support like she never knew before. Anna loved to go out singing, dancing, and shopping with Pete. In her last days on Earth, she told a story about going to Niagara Falls with Pete in their early years of dating. He made her so happy, and she missed him after he passed in July of 2021.

Anna passed away on August 20, 2023, at 5:33am. She was always an angel who expressed unconditional love, selflessness, strength, and an enthusiasm for life. She is no longer living on this Earth in her human form, but she will remain an angel in the hearts she knew, forever and always.

We love our mama and grannie, but we are comforted in knowing that where she is there is no more pain or internal battles brought on by the challenges of life. In heaven, she is her fullest, sassiest, and sweetest self that one can't help but adore.
