Barb grew up in Cicero and often shared fond memories from her school days at Holy Mount and Nazareth Academy. She was strong in her Catholic faith; Barb loved going to Mass and prayed many rosaries and novenas in her lifetime. She married George at the age of 18 and enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage. Barb moved to Columbus after George was transferred with Western Electric in 1959 and lovingly embraced her life as a wife, mother and grandmother. After 33 years of service at Sears and then Discover Card, Barb was blessed with many wonderful years of retirement. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Throughout her life, Barb enjoyed traveling the world, sewing, painting, baking, cooking and playing Bridge. She was a “social butterfly” and never met a stranger. Barb was active in P.E.O. and the Altar Rosary Society. She volunteered for CAPA and Mount Carmel East Hospital for many years. She was a founding and active member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Then later a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
