Barbara Ann Wood age 90 passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Long-time resident of Candlewood Lake in Mt. Gilead. She retired from Columbus Public Schools. She was a longtime cake decorator at Hamilton Road Bakery. She was very active in volunteering with The Girl Scouts, Jobs Daughters, and Opti-Mrs. In her later years, Barb loved to go to the F.O.E 3261 and play “Show Me The Money.” Preceded in death by husband, Ray Wood; daughter, Laurie Hastilow; son-in-law Jeff Hastilow; parents, William and Ethel Rush; sister Katie Laurent; niece Molly. Survived by daughter, Pam (Jim) Grimes; grandchildren, Amy (Darrell) Drone, Lisa (Shawn) McDorman, Julie Hastilow, Dan (Alley) Grimes, Brian (Annette) Grimes; great grandchildren, Cole, Kenzie, Paige, Trevor, Maddie, Caleb, Kinsley, Landon, Khloe; nieces, Nancy, Susie and Jenny; nephews, Michael and David; sister-in-law Carolyn; other loving family and friends. Funeral service Thursday, November 12, 2026, 1:00 PM Evans Funeral Home 4171 E. Livingston Ave. where friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service. Interment Glen Rest Cemetery.
