Bernice Marie (Burke) Osborne, 73, was welcomed to Heaven, suddenly on Friday February 17 ^th , 2023, after a lovely evening visiting with family.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 25 ^th , 1949, to Minnie (Hickman) Seitz and James H Burke. Both preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in Columbus and Whitehall, Ohio. Her jobs included The Whitehall Carryout and Kroger which she retired from. She was married twice. Estel Ward, the father of her sons and Douglas "Cricket" Osborne, the father of her other children.

Her faith was very strong. On any given Sunday, A.M or P.M. and Wednesday evenings, you would find her sitting in the second pew on the left, first seat by the aisle. That was her favorite seat… Right in the front.

She loved to travel to many different places. Her favorite travel buddies were her family including special cousin Anna Farrow. Her favorite destination was Gatlinburg. You could find her visiting there anytime of the year.

The most important thing to her was her family. She loved them with her whole heart and soul. There wasn't anything she wouldn't for them. Even if she said "No" at first, she'd change her mind. She wanted to make them happy.

Included her parents, Bernice was also preceded in death by the love of her life her husband of 32 years, Douglas "Cricket" Osborne; her sons Ronnie L. Ward and Ricky Osborne; and her brother Jim Burke.

She is survived by her four children Jeff (Tami) Ward, OH; Doug (Dondi) Osborne, TN; daughters Tina Chambers, TN; and Stephanie (Todd) Messer, WV; Special grandson, whom she thought of as a son, Cody (Karrie) Ward, OH; Grandchildren: Jennifer (Derrick) Reedy; Kyle (Megan) Ward; Taylor Ward; Austen Stemen; Isaac Stemen; Hannah Ward; Hailee Ward; Jamie Osborne; Hannah Osborne; Wade Osborne; Laura (Chris) Moore; Eric Chambers; Jessica Chambers; Eric Messer; Jacob Messer; Cody Osborne; many Great- Grandchildren; Sister, Patricia A. Morgan; Sister- in- law Vickie Burke; Aunts: Nancy Brown and Joanne Hanson. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and special neighbor and lifelong friend Brian Trojack whom she thought of as her own son.

Family and friends may call at the Gahanna Freewill Baptist Church, 3868 N. Stygler Rd, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, on Thursday February 23 ^rd , 2023, at 11:00 am up until time of service at 1:00pm. Pastor Edwin Hayes and Pastor Curtis Booth officiating. Interment, Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
