Bernice F. Stone, age 92, passed away from natural causes, peacefully in her home on June 28, 2026. She is survived by her husband, Harold, her son, Michael, two of her grandchildren, Lindsey and Dillon, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Clara Postema, her brother, Wesley, and her granddaughter, Laura.

 Bernice grew up in northeast Ohio and served in the Air Force for two years. She continued to work for the federal government where she met her husband, Harold. They moved throughout the US before settling back in central Ohio for over 60 years. She dedicated herself to filling the lives of her family and friends with unparalleled care and patience.

 Her gentle hands prepared countless meals filled with her love. She knew how to hold you and make things feel better without having to understand what needed to be fixed. She masterfully drew pumpkins and made pumpkin pies. She always had time to listen and observed those around her without judgement, only patience for each person to find their way. She never wanted to be fussed over but made a point of showing her concern for others. She gave her time freely and asked for nothing in return for herself. 

In the end of her life, she was at peace with her time here and ready to move on. She wished to ensure her family knew how grateful she was for her memories with them. Her salvation was evident in the way she was fervently asking God to let her go to heaven. She inspired the kind of simple contentment that only comes with the fruit of the spirit living within. Her memory will live on in the quiet moments where those who knew her choose kindness, gentleness, curiosity, and patience.
