Betty Jean Evans née Bennett, aged 91 years, of Columbus, peacefully passed away November 18, 2021at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Betty was a retired cafeteria worker at Hamilton Local Schools where the students often brought a smile to her face.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Evans, with whom she enjoyed traveling the whole of the United States with their children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her youngest son, Matthew Evans, she is survived by her children; Richard (Yop) Ryan, William Ryan, Vicki (Bud) Shaw and Andrew (Lynda) Evans, her grandchildren; Buck Shaw, JoAnn (Jeff) Yerkman, Scott (Carla) Shaw, David Shaw, Leanne (Josh) Schiering, Eric Evans, Kim Ryan, Shane Evans, Rachel (Niel) Rising, Abbie Whitton and Warren (Kathy) Jensen, and great-grandchildren; Christian Yerkman, Cael Shaw, Kieran Shaw, Emma Schiering, Harrison Whitten, Josiah Jensen, Ezra Jensen and Ethan Jensen.

Betty requested that only family attend graveside services at Obetz Cemetery as she passes on to life eternal.
