Billy Joe Daye Jr., 65, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on May 2, 2024, in Columbus. Born on March 27, 1959, in Columbus, he was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather.

Billy, known for his love for family, music, old movies, and fishing, was a proud veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his son James (Angie) Daye, sister Carol Newsome, nephew Ples (Cynthia) Newsome, niece Lynn (Karen) Newsome, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Billy Joe Daye Sr., and mother, Betty Lou Childers.

The cremation arrangements are being handled by Evans Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio.

Billy Joe Daye Jr. will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
