Carole A. Maguire (Allard), 83, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Florence Allard, her husband of nearly 35 years Charles "Doug" Maguire, her first born child Daniel Lee Ekern, and granddaughter Alexandria K. Maguire.  Survived by children Charles R. Maguire, Misty A. Maguire, and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Tonya Reed; grandchildren Wesley Maguire and Amy Maguire; numerous friends and family. Carole was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School, Class of 1957.  She completed a secretarial course thereafter and worked at companies such as Lazarus and Ohio Department of Transportation, before staying at Ohio Bell for nearly 30 years.  Member of the Telephone Pioneers, Whitehall Moose Lodge #0865, Amvets Post #2000, dual member of the Reynoldsburg Eagles #3261 and Linden Eagles #2252, and social member of VFW Post #3424. Even after an early retirement from Ameritech, Carole worked at Ohio Auto Movers, and tirelessly took care of a dear friend, Edna, her husband, and mother until the end. Carole was an excitable and lively woman, known for her country dancing at various clubs and lodges, always helping her friends and family when needed, and a determination that lasted her lifetime.  She will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky to know her. Interment will be at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville, Ohio immediately after the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or Alzheimer's Association.
