Catherine Marie Barrett age 85, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her residence.  Former member of The Church of Ascension.  She loved to cook and always wanted to make sure nobody went hungry.  She was an avid fisherman and loved to work on her crafts, flower beds and vegetable gardening. She was a loving a mother and grandmother.  She was the kindest and gentlest soul one could ever meet.   Preceded in death by husband Dwight Barrett, son Dwight Barrett, daughters, Mary Huntley, Roberta Jo Barrett, and several grandchildren.  Survived by daughters, Debra (Bruce) Scott, Robin (Charles) McDonald, Arleen Barrett; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; companion Howard Knight; 1 sister, 3 brothers, and other loving family and friends.  Friends may call Friday 4-7 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E. Livingston Ave. where funeral service will be held Saturday 10:00 AM.  Interments Union Evangelical Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
