Charles (Chuck) Thacker born February 5, 1946 in Lisbon, Ohio, raised in Columbus, lived in Whitehall. The Lord called him home on March 27, 2022 due to his exposure to Agent Orange in the Army in Vietnam. Retired after 38 years with Sheetmetal Workers Local 24. His last 6 years he served as Business Agent for his local. Past commander and canteen manager of VFW Post 8794. Preceded in death by parents Hobert (Ona) Thacker and sister Betty Lutz. Survived by loving wife of 55 years Roberta (Bobbie) Thacker; children Chuck (Tanya) Thacker Jr. & Tereasa (Jeremy) Swanson; grandchildren Chuck III, Nicolas & Shelby Thacker and Jared Swanson; brother-in-law to Nancy Johnson & David (Patty) Hutchison; uncle and great uncle to several nieces & nephews; brother from another mother Bob (Linda) Casteel, Ron Richardson & David Roof. Chuck had a heart of gold and would do anything to lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his grand dogs Rue & Libby.
