Obituary

Collin Daye

February 28, 2004 – May 2, 2026

It is with profound heartbreak that we announce the passing of Collin Daye, who left us on May 2, 2026, at just 22 years old. Collin lived a life marked by unimaginable challenges, bravely battling epilepsy for nearly eight years. Through numerous brain surgeries and long hospital stays, he showed a level of strength, humor, and resilience that inspired everyone who loved him.

Collin was naturally goofy, always cracking jokes, making faces, or saying something off-the-wall just to get a smile out of the people around him. He had a crazy spirit and proudly celebrated 4/20 every single day, living life in his own unapologetic way. He also had a real passion for shoes; he could talk for hours about sneakers, and the next pair he wanted to work on.

After losing his mother a year and a half ago, Collin struggled intensely with his mental health. Though he fought hard, the weight of his pain became overwhelming, and he passed away from suicide. His loss is a devastating reminder of how deeply mental health matters, and how much love someone can hold even while suffering quietly inside.

Collin leaves behind his siblings, Brooklyn and Zackary Eshleman, who loved him endlessly. He is also survived by his grandmother, Lori Eshleman, his uncle Sean, and his niece and nephew, who brought light and laughter into his life.

He will be remembered for his humor, his big heart, and his unique personality. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will never fade.

May he finally find peace, reunited with his mother, and grandfather and free from all pain.
