David A. Race age 63 was born on August 27, 1960 he lived, attended school, married and shared his life with family and friends in Columbus Ohio. He graduated from Eastmoor High School, worked as a cook for 20 years followed by driving a straight truck up and down the east coast until retiring. Following a brief illness, he passed away on October 24, 2023 in Columbus Ohio.  David was preceded in death by his father Richard E Race and mother Eva Lou Race, and maternal grandmother Francis Brannigan. Survived by wife Augusta (Missey) Race, children Rick, Raymond and Shawn, grandchildren Haley, Lily, Justin, Lyndsey, Ben Harper, Hunter, and Shawn Jr. His siblings Peggy Yates's, Roxie Bohn (Rich), Richard Race (Sheri), Bambi Darnell, Boyd Race, Kipp Race and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The gathering of family and friends to say goodbye will be on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 12 PM till 2 PM at Evans Funeral Home 4171 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43227.
