David Risch, age 92, died November 19, 2021 at Mount Carmel East Hospital.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Hermine Risch, and by his sister Ann (Carl) and brother Donald (Elaine).  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gretchen, son Steve (Dianne), Adam and Jake, son Pete (Jill), Lauren and Jen, and daughter Elisabeth (Guy) Dilz, Sarah and Tommy.  He graduated from Capital University, where he served on the board, and Trinity Lutheran Seminary.  A parish pastor, he served various Lutheran congregations, including Faith Lutheran Church in Whitehall where he spent the majority of his ministry.  He and Gretchen enjoyed traveling in the states and in Europe.  They also participated in many learning events for seniors throughout the country.  A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 730 Collingwood Ave on Saturday, December 4 ^th at 11:00 am with calling hours preceding the service beginning at 10:00 am.  Reception following the service.  Memorial gifts may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or Capital University.
