Dezso Kovacs, age 86, of Pickerington, OH, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on May 10, 2022, after a battle with cancer. A proud member of the Hungarian community, Dezso was born May 9, 1936, in Inota, Hungary to Lajos and Zsofia Kovacs. He left a war-torn Hungary for America in 1956 looking for better opportunities. He retired from his own business, Kovacs Fabrication, in 2002. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous spirit and caring heart. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Ildika. He is survived by his wife Patricia, four children, Mark, Desiree, Samuel, Camille and three grandchildren, Sydney, Nicole, and Charlotte. Per his wishes a small service for close friends and family will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hungarian Reformed Church, 365 E Woodrow Ave, Columbus, OH 43207.
