Donna Mae went peacefully with our Lord, the morning of July 27, 2022, at her home in Pickerington, Ohio.

She was born in Akron, Ohio to Earl and Lora (Swan) Forrester. Lora passed away when Donna was a toddler, so she was raised by her Uncle Allen and Aunt Florida Sprauge, lovingly referred to as Mother and Pop. Donna married Fredric Poyet on November 25,1948 and resided in Pickerington since May 1971.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fredric 'Ted' Poyet; daughter Jonelle Hamilton; sister, Faith (Irvin) Boltz; Edna (Kink) Browning, and brothers, Vern Sweezy, Earl Forrester, and Robert Forrester.

She is survived by her daughter Michele Poyet- Fields and son Mark Allen (Pamela) Poyet; grandchildren: Joellen J. (Eli) Lepley; Olivia Margot (Derek Hilderbrand) Harvey; Jared M. (Andrea) Poyet; Morgan A. (Bobby Dunlap) Poyet; Kelly (Corie Cook) Hamilton, Austin (Sami) Hamilton; great-grandchildren: Abigail A. (Mason Fansler) Harvey; Samantha Mae Harvey; Roxanne E. Harvey; Novalee T. Kopec; Killian Hamilton; Logan J. Poyet; step- great-grandchildren: David H. and Kathryn M. Lepley; Leedom C. and Lydia R. Cook; Jaeden R. and Baylen C. Dunlap; Gage, Maci, and Robbie Hamilton. Sister-in-law Jean Poyet of Las Vegas, NV. Many church and chorus friends. Dear to her heart as well, Robert L. 'Bobby' Hamilton, and her lifelong best friend since first grade, Donna Jean Johnson of Belpre, OH.

She was a telephone operator for West Virginia Bell, then at Ohio Bell, a cook for Reynoldsburg schools, and returned to the switchboard retiring three (3) times from Nationwide Insurance. She loved her singing adventures with Scioto Valley Chorus and One AChord, and developed a fancy for hats later in life. She loves the Lord and was a member at Laurel Canyon church of Christ.

We will never forget her unconditional love for all of us who knew her. We will be looking for her in heaven someday.

The family will receive guests at Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH, on Monday August 1st, 2022, from 4 PM to 7 PM and Tuesday August 2nd, 2022, from 12 PM to 1 PM. Funeral service officiated by Daniel DeGarmo will begin at 1 PM. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH., at 2:30 PM.
