Edward W. McLaughlin, Jr.

(June 12, 1937 - August 28, 2022)

Edward McLaughlin, age 85, reached up and took the hand of his Savior to take him home on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born on June 12, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the only child of Marie & Ed McLaughlin. He is preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Juanita, his parents, Marie and Edward McLaughlin, Sr., loved ones to cherish his memory are his children, Gary (Kas) McLaughlin, Greg (Irene) McLaughlin, Julie McLaughlin, his beloved grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) McLaughlin, Caleb (Ashlee) McLaughlin, Steve Aldridge, Marissa Aldridge, Kyndall Kealey,  cherished great grandchildren, Daniel and AJ, his brother-in-law Ken Bowman and family, many friends and his church family at Fellowship Baptist Church. Ed was an active, devoted member of Fellowship since 1971. He was a church Deacon, active with the annual Christmas Cantata, a Sunday School Superintendent, and a Junior Church leader. Ed proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, deployed to Germany. The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, and 10 - 11 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4701 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in his memory to Mt. Carmel Hospice and Palliative Care Services, 1144 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215. Interment Glen Rest Cemetery, Reynoldsburg. OH. Arrangements by EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave.
