Fanija Talevska, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, after a full and loving life. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt & sister, Fanija was born on August 5, 1938 to Bozin and Jordanka in Bitola, Macedonia. She was one of 5 children, and the strong bond she shared with her siblings extended into adulthood, connecting their families across the world for generations. In 1958, she married Vladimir Talevski, her devoted husband of 66 years. Together they had their daughters Dance Kitanovski and Nada Janakievski. In 1974, Vladimir and Fanija made the life changing decision to immigrate to the United States from Macedonia with their daughters settling in Columbus, Ohio where they would remain for the rest of her life. Fanija was the backbone of her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. Affectionately know as "Baba Fane" she was often found cooking or baking delicious Macedonian dishes and tending to her garden (her peppers generated community wide fame). Fanija was an active & long time member of St. Mary's Macedonian church. Her selflessness and devotion to her family& friends impacted all those who knew her. Fanija is preceded by death by her parents, Jordanka and Bozin Mikarovski, brothers Nikola and Georgi Mikarovski, sister Mare Petrovski, and brother in law Branko Mitevski. She is survived by her husband, Vladimir Talevski, daughters Dance Kitanovski, Nada (Vlade) Janakievski, grandchildren Natalia (Kiril) Trajkov, Biljana (Oliver) Domazetovski, Bozidar (Frances) Janakievski, Elena (Nicholas) Galiardi, great grand children, Evalyn, Olivia, and Isabella Domazetovski, Theodore, Samuel, and Roman Janakievski, Jana and Mira Trajkov, Nico Galiardi, sister Ljubica Mitevski, sister in law Nada Mikarovska, sister in law Jovanka Mikarovski, and many more relatives in the United States and Macedonia.
