Frances E. Kaethow, 89, of Columbus, OH
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister on Sunday, January 28, 2024. She was born in on January 18, 1935 in Roger Springs, TN. A prior marriage brought her to Columbus where she eventually met the love of her life, Klaus, while both were employed at a local grocery store. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends during long weekends at Hide-Away-Hills playing cards, boating, and cook-outs. An avid traveler, she visited many places, made fond memories and enjoyed experiences while cruising the Caribbean, beachcombing in Hawaii, Florida, Mexico and Rio. Several trips to Germany and Italy were highlights of her European Adventures.
Frances is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Klaus H. Kaethow, adored and admired by her sons Mark (Jill) Kaethow and Steven Kaethow. Loved and treasured by grandchildren Klaus (Tiffany) Schall, Ryan (Hillary) Kaethow, Kyle (Catherine) Kaethow, Jered (Sarah) Cordial, Connor, Corey, and Alyvia Kaethow. She is dearly loved and missed by her sisters Hazel Simms and Barbara Kiester as well as six great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
