Gary Young age 76, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA to parents Harry & Shirley Young. He moved to Columbus, Ohio where he graduated Eastmoor High School, and went on to serve 2 tours in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He lived the majority of his life in Whitehall, OH with his wife Kathleen Young (deceased). He enjoyed going to the Whitehall & Reynoldsburg Senior Center, to play cards & games with his friends. He was a good husband, father, and friend to many people during his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry & Shirley Young, and his wife Kathleen Young. He was survived by his brother Randy Young and wife Sarah Young, his son Todd Williams, his cousins Shirlee Ann Lackner and Ricky Lackner, as well as other cousins, nieces, nephews. Gary wished to be cremated, and there will be a VA funeral service at the Dayton National Cemetery at 4400 W 3rd St., Dayton, OH 45428 Friday, October 4, 2024, 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service for Gary will be held at Rittenhouse Village (Gahanna) 1201 Riva Ridge Court Gahanna, OH 43230 Thursday, September 26, 2024, 3 PM - 5 PM.
