Geno N. Gasbarro age 94 passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, in his home.  He was born February 14, 1931, in Castel di Sangro in the Abruzzo region of Italy and immigrated to America in 1938.  Geno was preceded in death by his mother & father Giuseppina (Josephine) & Vincenzo Gasbarro, sister Mary (John) Bonfante, brothers Nick (Marilyn) and Alio (Jean) Gasbarro.

He is survived by his sons Mike (Barb) Gasbarro, Joe (Anna) Gasbarro, Steve (Cindy) Tucker, and daughters Gina (Mark) Gasbarro, Shelley (Andy) Gogan and Karen Johnson.  He is also survived by Suzanne Lyons Gasbarro and many loving grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict from 1951 to 1953 and enjoyed a love of flying.  However, Geno's work and innovations in the poultry industry were his life.  He, along with his son's, built a global business that helped mechanize and automate the poultry processing industry.  Geno had 39 patents on his inventions.  He was on the ground floor of modernizing the poultry processing industry that we know today.

He was a loving, private person that enjoyed a simple life. His generosity and love of family was prevalent throughout his life. His love of animals, primarily cats, gave him much pleasure.  Geno will be sadly missed and live in the hearts of many.  Rest in peace Geno…..

The family would like to extend special thanks to Patricia Harmer and Mindy Gullate.
