James Joseph "Jim" Haas age 92 passed away, Monday, March 1, 2021. Former Circulation Manager for the Columbus Dispatch who retired after nearly 50 years in 1993. Jim was a Navy Veteran who served honorably in active duty in WW II. Throughout the course of his life, Jim had a love for building model airplanes among many other hobbies. Jim was brother to (4) siblings and is survived by his sister Pat and Mary. He and his now deceased wife Dorothy raised (6) children and was surrounded by many friends in the Columbus community. Always ready and willing to give his time and help to whoever needed it, Jim will always be remembered for doing things himself and his way. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy of close to 60 years and sons Mark and Tony, he is survived by sons Rick, Wayne and Jon and daughter Cindy. Jim and Dorothy were grandparents to 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Jim will always be remembered for his great smile and sarcastic wit; we will miss him dearly.
