We honor and remember the life of Janis Marie Wolverton, who was born on May 20, 1935, and gracefully passed on January 26, 2025. Janis was a caring and devoted mother to Susan, Gary, and Karen (Charlie). She was lovingly known as "Gi-Gi" by many, and her love continues to inspire those she left behind; she is preceded in death by many family and friends.

Janis treasured her faith and dedicated her life to Jesus over 50 years ago while watching Pastor Billy Graham on television. She was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Those fortunate enough to know her remember Janis as a vibrant spirit who embraced life. She loved walking the trails at Blacklock Woods Metro Park, nurturing her flowers and vegetable gardens, and cherishing moments with family and friends. We cannot forget her savvy style; her put-together outfits, heels, and lipstick! Her joyful spirit, particularly when dancing to her favorite song, "In the Mood," along with the remarkable stories of her childhood and life, will forever resonate in our hearts.
