Jean A. Walters of Columbus, Ohio passed away at her home on Thursday November 21, 2024. Jean was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on December 2, 1933, to Alan and Loretta Gates. Jean married her husband Richard and lived in many places during Richard's military career before eventually settling in Columbus, Ohio. Jean loved to read and work in the yard. She also loved to bake for her entire family for the many gatherings for all occasions at their home. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 71 years, Richard, her daughter Nancy, and her brothers Russell and Ron. She is survived by her daughters Linda (Bob), Judy (Bob), and Lisa (Scott), and her brother Michael (Suzanne). Jean is also survived by her grandsons Seann, and Zachary (Shane), her granddaughters Joelle (Brian), Erin (Michael), and Kara. In addition, Jean is also survived by her great grandsons Anthony, Caden, and Jameson, and great granddaughters Kasey, Ariella, Carley, and Madison. Jean also leaves behind her beloved faithful companion Tanner. Many thanks to Mount Carmel Hospice and Griswold Home Care for their compassion and support during Jean's final days.
