Joan Ruth Whitton's Obituary
| Joan Ruth Whitton, age 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2026, at home with her family. She was born on September 23, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio to Ruth and Harold Webster. She worked at French Run Elementary School Kitch and retried from accounts receivable for Kroger Co. She married the love of her life on January 11, 1947, and together they raised two daughters to love God in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She loved crafting, sewing, drawing, and having her grandchildren over. She had a deep love of flowers, colors and family. She loved to laugh and had a good sense of humor. She was a member of the Red Hat Society at the Ohio Masonic Home. Charter member of Rickley Chapter OES since 1970. Joan is survived by her daughter Terrie Whitton-Longhenry, grandchildren Danielle Longhenry (Dywan), Debbie Lewis (Jerry), Abby Hunter (Rich), Lacey Wiggins (Ty), Paxton Dellinger (Jennifer), Joshua Dellinger, Heather Hoch (John); 11 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by parents, husband Dave, daughter Debbie Dellinger, sons-in-law William (Bill) Dellinger and Danny Longhenry, great grandson Zachery Dellinger. Funeral service Friday, October 9, 2026, 1:00 PM Evans Funeral Home 4171 E. Livingston Ave. where friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of service. Interment Sunset Cemetery. |
