Joann Marcum Carrillo (Conn), 95, of Blacklick, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026.

She was born on February 8, 1931, in Crum, West Virginia, the daughter of Roscoe Conn and Sarah Deskins Conn.

Joann was a graduate of Crum High School and went on to retire from Western Electric after many years of dedicated service. She was first married to Claude Marcum in January 1948 in Inez, Kentucky, and later married Alfred Carrillo. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Claude Marcum and Alfred Carrillo.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers Henry, Everett, Willie, Ollie, Leslie, and Ira Conn; her sisters Macel, Mae, Ovie, Mary, and Chris; and her daughter-in-law, Jeanne Marcum.

Joann was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her children, Deanna (Donald) Bare and Terry Marcum. She was a cherished grandmother to Jennifer Biddle, Heather Fleshman, and Eric Marcum, and a proud great-grandmother to Tyler and Carson Biddle, and Addy, Kay, and Blayke Fleshman, Jordan, and Taylor Marcum. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Joann found great joy in her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She loved her church and especially enjoyed singing songs of faith, often sharing how Jesus had touched and blessed her life.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her caregivers over the past several months for their compassion and support.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. The ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Cheryl Isaacs.
