Obituary

Jocelyn Kay "Jocee" Stephenson, age 36, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 7, 2025, in her hometown.

Born on March 18, 1989, in Columbus, Jocelyn brought a "bossy Jocee" and "thing #2" spirit into the world that remained with her throughout her life. She worked as an operations specialist, applying her dedication and attention to detail in her professional life just as she did in her personal one.

Jocelyn faced significant health challenges with courage and resilience. Living with diabetes and bravely battling kidney failure, as well undergoing dialysis. Despite these hardships, she pushed through some of her darkest days and was actually able to help others through her Lifeline of Ohio organ and tissue donation.

She had a creative soul and a flair for the artistic. Jocelyn loved to draw and sketch, often finding peace and joy in coloring books. Her passion for makeup and fashion was unmistakably Jocelyn Coded—she adored dressing up in pretty dresses and heels, always adding a touch of sparkle with glitter or something Hello Kitty-themed. Shopping trips were among her favorite pastimes, as was curling up with a good book or simply "doing something fun" and going to Taco Bell with her sissy poo.

To those unfamiliar with her, Jocelyn may have seemed guarded (one could even say she had a mean rbf)—but to those she loved, she gave everything. Her loyalty ran deep; she would do anything for the people she cared about. Her kind heart shone through in countless ways.

Jocelyn leaves behind two beloved sons, Nathan Leggett and Gabriel Leggett; her twin sister Judy Pack; uncle Van Stephenson; aunt Maggie Evans(Greg); nieces Abigail and Charlotte; and cousins Chris(Heather), Kalyn, Shawn, Malachai, Zaiden, Kaiden, Adalynn, and Ellie.

She was preceded in death by her mother Freda Stephenson; uncle Franklin Stephenson Jr.; aunt Laura Walden; grandmother Katherine Stephenson; grandfather Franklin Stephenson Sr.; and niece Paisley Pack.

Services will held on December 16 2025, from 4-6 PM at Evans Funeral Home.

May Jocelyn's memory bring comfort and a bit of sparkle to those who knew and loved her. The lives of those she leaves behind will never be the same without her.

Rest easy gorgeous girl. We know you were afraid and we know you were tired. We love you forever Jocee.
