Jody Gaiser, 94, of Columbus Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024. She courageously fought duodenal cancer and still dressed to the nines. Jody was born on August 16, 1929, in Columbus Ohio. Her mom and dad were Mildred Corder and Peter Quinn. Jody graduated with her master's in communication from California State University Fullerton. She was a beloved teacher for Gahanna Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio. She retired after 27 years of teaching at Gahanna High School. She was a great asset to Gahanna Lincoln High School where she coached their debate team. She went on to be awarded the Diamond Key Debate Coach award. She also directed the Gahanna Lincoln High School theater department for seventeen years. She led the high school Speech team into the state championship and won. She created and initiated the "Varsity Variety" show and a successful news casting department for Gahanna Lincoln High School. Outside of her dedication to Gahanna Lincoln High School, she enjoyed a very successful Bridge playing life with her husband Edward Gaiser. She and Eddie achieved Life Masters Status in the game of Bridge. Jody continued her musical gifts by creating and hosting " The Showboaters" that entertained with singing to uplift the ageing population. Jody is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Edward Gaiser. Eddie passed in 2020. She was also preceded by her brother Patrick Quinn, sister Wilma Panthana, son Donald Mayes. She is survived by her children Vickie Mayes, David Gaiser, Stephanie Gaiser, Ronda Gaiser Popp, Robin Hartman. Her grandchildren Kathryn Barnecut, Brian Mayes, Joseph Mayes, Callista Popp, Maximos Popp. Her great grandchildren Carter Mayes and Lincoln Mayes. Funeral service Saturday, July 6, 2024, 10:00 AM All Saints Lutheran Church 6770 N High St, Worthington, where friends may call 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Bill McKee officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donate to All Saints Lutheran Church in Worthington Ohio. Arrangements by EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E. Livingston Ave.
