John Calvin
Brazzell
Oct 20, 1966 — Aug 14, 2026
Obetz
John Calvin Brazzell, 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 14, 2026. He was born on October 20, 1966, to J.C. Brazzell Jr. and Dottie (Pemberton) Brazzell.
At the center of John’s world was his beloved wife, Angie. Their life together was built on love, companionship, and the countless little moments that made their marriage special. John loved Angie deeply, and she was truly his person. His absence has left a space in her heart and in their home that cannot be filled. Those who love Angie know she is facing an unimaginable loss, but they also know just how deeply John loved her and how much of himself he left behind in the life they shared.
John was the baby of the family, and he filled that role perfectly. To his siblings, Jimmy and Tina, he was the little brother who could always be counted on. If you needed John, he was there – no questions asked. But being the baby brother also meant he had a responsibility to keep his siblings on their toes. He loved to tease, aggravate, and poke at them, often with his famous, **” I’m not touching you! ”** Whether it was making them laugh or driving them just a little crazy, John knew exactly how to be a little brother. Those are the moments that will be missed just as much as the big ones.
Though John did not have children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews fiercely and treasured being their uncle.
John was also a proud dog dad to his four beloved fur babies, Barkly (or Barkley according to his dad), Bruno, Bo, and Odie.
John had a lifelong passion for cars and could often be found tinkering away in his garage. His knowledge of automobiles was immeasurable. His garage was his workshop, his classroom, and often his happy place.
Above all, John loved Jesus. His faith was at the center of his life, and he did everything he could to make sure his family knew the Lord as well. He wanted those he loved to know the same hope, faith, and love that meant so much to him. His greatest legacy may not be the things he fixed or built, but the faith he tried to instill in the people he loved.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Angie; his father, J.C. (Lessie) Brazzell Jr.; his siblings, Jimmy (Sherry) Brazzell and Tina Bailey; his many nieces and nephews; his four fur babies; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Dottie (Pemberton) Brazzell; and his grandparents.
John was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, dog dad, and friend. He was deeply loved in this life and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
