John left us suddenly on Tuesday October 7,2025 at his residence in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born to John, Sr. and Teresa (Farley) Dillard at United States Army Base Fort Polk, Louisiana on April 2,1985.

John was a 2003 Graduate of Groveport-Madison High School Groveport, Ohio where he loved to play varsity football.

After High School John enlisted into the United States Air Force in 2004. He trained and worked as a Firefighter and Rescue Technician. Prior to his deployment to Iraq John married his childhood sweetheart Christy Traylor here in Ohio January of 2005. He was deployed in March of 2005 to Iraq to fight the war on terrorism in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. During his deployment he served as an Air Rescue Mission Medic with the Detachment 17, 732nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron out of Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. John and his R.A.M. Squadron was called to fly into forward areas and rescue and treat his wounded fellow brothers in Arms and injured civilians. He treated and saved many people during his tour of war. And John was awarded the United States Army Achievement Medal for his outstanding service in supporting the United States Army 1st Corps in OIF. He was decorated with the Operation Iraqi Freedom medal, Operation Enduring Freedom medal, National Defense Service medal, Iraqi Campaign medal, Global War On Terrorism medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award / 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon and finished his service to our great country at the rank of Senior Airman.
After returning from Iraq John and Chrisy welcomed little Miss Anna Dillard and completed his enlistment and returned to Ohio in 2008.

After his service he worked as a Crane Technician and Welder by trade.

John loved to spend time with his four children: Jaxon, Braxon, Lynxon and Ellexon. He loved to fish, ride his Harley and hang out with his Uncle Gary "Booner".

He is Survived by his brother Joshua (Megan) Dillard and John's (Nieces)Cadence and Emery. Sister-In-Law Katie Dillard and niece Violet Dillard. Uncle Gary 'Booner' Farley, (Cousin) Justina Farley & Kelley 'EY' Morgan. Uncle Alphonso (Channon) Dillard, Jr. of Virginia. And Aunt Dee-Dee (Scott) Jarrell. Cousin Brandi (Jeff) Suttle. And his West Virginia McCoy Family. And his ex-wife Christina Traylor Dillard and Anna. And his longtime boyhood buddy John 'JD' Schleppi. And many more that touched his life.

John is preceded in death by his brothers: Baby Dillard and Jordan Spencer Dillard, Aunt Jenny Farley, Aunt Dana Dillard and Cousin Nicole Farley. Maternal Grandparents James and Minnie Farley. Paternal Grandparents Alphonso, Sr. and Barbara Dillard.

By John's request and to honor his wishes there will be no viewing or service. He requested to be cremated and have a celebration of life at a date, place and time in the future when the pain of his absence is not so fresh.

We will dearly miss him every minute of every day.
