Obituary

Kenneth L. Geil was born April 17, 1935, in Oconto, Wisconsin, passed away April 9, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a proud veteran, retired from US Navy after 5 years of service and US Airforce after 15 years of service.  He retired from Rockwell/McDonnell-Douglas after 22 years as a Fireman/Security Officer.  In his retirement he always kept himself busy with woodworking, making special wood pins for everyone he knew.  He played Santa where he touched many lives, especially many little ones, who only know him as Santa Ken.  He listened and had meaningful conversations that made the children feel so special.  He was a Green Bay Packer fan for life.  One of his favorite pastimes was boating with his beagle and best friend, Bo. He will be greatly missed by family, many friends and all who knew him.  Preceded in death by wife, Florence Geil, parents Rose and Leo Geil sisters Rosella, Carol and Patti.  Survived by son, Doug Geil, daughter and son-in-law Kenda and Rob Glass; granddaughter Kiri Glass, grandson Ben Glass, brother and sister-in-law Leroy and Mary Geil; multiple nieces and nephews.  Graveside service Thursday, April 16, 2026, 3:00 PM Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The USO.
