Leo DiFrancesco

August 10, 1947 – August 29, 2022

Leo DiFrancesco passed away suddenly at home on August 29, 2022. He was born in Introdacqua, Italy on August 10, 1947, to Salvatore and Sintia (Castrodale) DiFrancesco. Leo emigrated from Italy in 1958 at the age of eleven. Following graduation from Brookhaven High School, he attended The Ohio State University, spending many subsequent years as a teacher in the Columbus City Schools. Survived by wife, Kathy, step-son, Jack (Denise) Hollerich; step-daughter, Heidi (Mike) Sargent; grandchildren, Audrey and Olivia Hollerich; Andrew, Chris, Hannah and Heather Sargent; sister, Miriam Smith; brother, Scott (Becky) DiFrancesco, and their son, Michael. Leo is also survived by his favorite aunt, Diva Volpe, as well as many family and friends in Italy, Canada, and Ohio. A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date.
