Lesley Lorraine Thomas, 69, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2026, at her home in Columbus. Born May 5, 1957, in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia, she was a graduate of Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education. She recently retired from Indian Springs Elementary School CCS where she enjoyed her time working with teachers, staff, and students.

Lesley was preceded in death by her mother Rita Wilcox and is survived by her husband of 36 years John Thomas, son Henry (Jennifer), grandchildren Emmett, Owen, and Lydia Thomas, father Ron Wilcox, sister Lisa Perkins (Tony), brothers Geoffrey (Babbette) and Michael Wilcox.

Lesley loved her family, especially her grandchildren who knew her as Nana.

She was a proud Australian who always cheered for Australian athletes and sporting teams, whether it was the World Cup, Olympics, or Commonwealth Games. She also loved cheering for Ohio State football and basketball teams and for Liverpool Football Club.

Lesley was always bright, caring and admired by many. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and loved ones on both sides of the Pacific.
