Obituary

Liljana V. Brutovska, age 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 27th, 2022, with her children by her side in Columbus, Ohio. Born May 15, 1938, in Bukovo, North Macedonia, she later immigrated to the United States in 1973 with her family.  She was a successful tailor for over 30 years with a strong work ethic and exceptional talent, yet she will also be remembered by her customers and co-workers for her charming personality. Liljana was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and devoted friend. During her 67-year marriage, her most important job was taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking for the holidays, birthdays, and family dinners as she loved to have her family all together. She was the best Baba to her grandchildren and enjoyed her time gardening, baking, and telling stories. Liljana was a proud member of the Macedonian Christian Orthodox Church who tirelessly contributed to her community. She is survived by her husband, Vasil Brutovski; children Anica (Aco) Atanasovski, Slavica Petrovski, and Tomislav Brutovski; grandchildren Emily (Jayson), Elena (Dimce), Michelle (Jove), Jordan, Ilija, Bianca and Antoni; great grandchildren, Aleksandar, Lili, Jaxson, Weston, Zaneta; many other loving family and friends.  Preceded in death by parents, Vangel and Gjurga Trpcevski, sisters Mitra Tonovska and Menka Georgievska; mother and father-in-law Lenka and Atanas Brutovski, son in law, Tome Petrovski. Friends may call Sunday, January 30, 2-5pm at Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio.  Funeral service will be Monday, January 31, 12:00 Noon at St. Mary Macedonian Orthodox Church, 400 S. Waggoner Rd, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.  Rev. Radovan Cekovski officiating. Following the service, Interment will be at Glen Rest Cemetery, 8029 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, OH. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Macedonia Orthodox Church, flowers are accepted.
