Maria Luise Christine Wallace, 91, of Reynoldsburg Ohio passed away on November 16, 2024. She was born on September 26. 1933 in Trier Germany to Johann Felix Peter Sturmer, master shoemaker, and Anna Maria Christine Sturmer born Frielitz. Maria grew up during the World War II years moving from one part of Germany to the other just to survive. After the War the family stayed with her grandparents where she was able to complete high school in her hometown of Trier. After high school she moved to Kaiserslautern and took a Job at the Hospital on Ramstein AFB, where she met and married Hal Wallace Jr. They eventually settled in Columbus Ohio. In addition to her Parents, Maria is preceded in death by her husband Hal Wallace Jr. Maria is survived by her children Rainer (Carol) Wallace, Monica Smith, and Hal Lee Wallace. Maria loved going to Restaurants, shopping and working in her yard/flowerbeds. She also loved reminiscing and telling stories about her life before and after the war. She was a true blessing and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. 0ur family also would like to thank Hospice of Central Ohio for the meticulous care giving and love during their time of need.
