Marilyn M. "Mimi" Mello nee Boyer, age 65 of North Aurora, passed away on October 28, 2022. Mimi was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and formerly lived in Medina, Ohio. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to Marlon; loving mother of Jeremy (Melissa) Mello, Rachelle (Ryan) Helton and Amy (Mitch) Cannon; cherished daughter of the late Carolyn and Harry Boyer; proud grandmother of Aiden, Aria, Arabela, Addison, Logan, Isaiah, Luis and Fernando; dear sister of Lorrie Stickel, Tamara Turner, Debbie Dolbow, Suzanne Shively, Tom Boyer, Dean (Cheryl) Boyer and the late Brian Boyer; fond aunt and friend of many. Mimi was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church in Aurora. She retired from Central DuPage Medical Group. A visitation for Mimi will be held at DuPage Funeral Chapel (951 W. Washington Street, West Chicago) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 3-8 PM with a prayer service beginning at 4 PM. A visitation will also be held at Evans Funeral Home 4171 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 5-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, November 5th, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 4383 E Broad St. Whitehall, Ohio with burial to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Illinois Food Bank (solvehungertoday.org) or the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
