Mark Anthony Fountain passed away July 1, 2023, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born November 16, 1962, to Milton Edwin Fountain and Lena Mae (Henderson) Fountain in Dearborn, Michigan.

He graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1984. He received a Master of Business Administration from William Woods University in 2003.  He worked as a CPA for many years, including firms such as Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Ernst and Young. He loved his dogs Snickers ("Sir Snickers of the Lake"), Buffy ("Buffy the Pitbull Slayer"), and Shelby ("Drink your Juice Shelby"). He participated in the AIDS Walk in Kansas City for three years, and he volunteered with the Kansas City Theater.

He was preceded in death by his father Milton Fountain, his mother Lena Fountain, his brother Gary Fountain, his brother Arthur ("Chuck") Evans, his brother Danny Evans, and his sister Patricia Tront. He is survived by his partner Brent Ott, his daughter Hayley Fountain, his son Blake Fountain (Hannah), his grandson Jack Fountain, his brother Martin ("Butch") Fountain, and his brother Timothy Evans.

No services have been planned at this time.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to HIV/AIDS research or the Ryan White Program.
