Martha Elizabeth Lacey, 92 of Gahanna, Ohio, a treasured mother, grandmother, great grandmother left this world on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Taylor Springs Health Campus, and went to her Heavenly home, joining her loved ones gone before her.

Martha “Martie” will always be remembered for her long hugs, joyful smiles, her daily bible reading, and deep faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born in Blacklick, Ohio, she was one of seven siblings to Ross and Edna Horn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Clarence Lacey and grandson SPC Nicolas Messmer.

She is survived by her beloved children, Shirley (Rick) Messmer of Gahanna, Ohio, Diane (John) Adams of Huron, Ohio, and James Divers of Sandusky, Ohio; grandchildren Ricky, Joe, Joshua, Dustin, Jason, Zack, and Jesse; great grandchildren, Addie, Lucas, Colton, Harper, Graham, Timmy, Wade, and Morgan.

Friends may call Saturday, June 13, 2026, 12 Noon- 2:00 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E. Livingston Ave. where funeral service will be held Monday, June 15, 2026, 11:00 AM where friends may call 1 hour prior to service. Pastor John Adams officiating. Interment Jefferson Cemetery.
