Merrill "Wray" Simmerman, age 90 of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, at home.  Born in Van Wert, Iowa November 29, 1932.  Veteran U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War, stationed in Newport, Rhode Island.  Worked for 37 years in multiple staff positions for Sears Roebuck.  His hobbies were woodworking and travel.  Served on the usher committee and was a long-time member of Eastview United Methodist Church. Survived by beloved wife Kim; beloved children Kevin (Leah) Simmerman, Keith (Gail) Simmerman, Michelle Dennis and Tracey Shick; grandchildren Lyndsey Rae Simmerman, Brandon Simmerman, Kaylean (Dustin) Sellers, Samantha (Jason) Hood, Austin Fleming, Brandon Dennis and Brittany Dennis; 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Preceded in death by mother Ruth Ellen Simmerman and father Hoyle Raymond Simmerman; sisters Viola Faye Jones and Wanda Mae Schuldt.   Funeral service will be held at 11AM Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E.
