Michael is survived by Daughter Rebecca (Anthony) Taylor-Stafford, Son-in-Law Anthony Stafford,  Granddaughters Makayla Marie (De'Artae) Pernell, Mayah Elizabeth Taylor, and Meranda Ulahn Taylor, 5 Great-Grandchildren, Sister Gloria Garcia, Brother In Laws Dennis (Janice) Hall, Raymond (Regina) Hall, Sister in Laws Sheila (Michael) Denman, Janet Hinerman, his special nephews Jody and Robbie and special cousin Lori, adopted daughter Joanie,  and  a host of  Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and life-long friends.

"Mike" was the youngest of 3 children.  He was very close to his Mother Bernice and his sister Gloria.  He loved his family and was known to just show up to say "hi, I love you". Michael met his wife Diane in 1972. He first seen her working as a waitress in White Castle, and said to himself, "now that's a good-looking woman I'd like to marry and make a life with".  They were married in June of 1973.  Their daughter Becky was born in June of 1975.  Mike put his family first and went to Talbot Hall and quit drinking alcohol in 1983.  He held family cook outs at his house every summer. Mike loved music and he loved to dance and "get down and have a good time".  He loved his little dog, "Buddy".   He instilled an incredible work ethic in Becky and nephews Jody and Robbie, telling us "When I work, we ALL work".  Mike was a self-proclaimed "Professional" Semi Truck Driver, and he loved driving.  He bought a brand-new Ford F150 truck in 1987, and a camper and took his family traveling and camping.  Mike and Diane became caregivers to his father Gherold (Harry) in 1998. They took him with him everywhere they went, even to Hawaii for their Anniversary.   Mike and Diane loved their 3 granddaughters (the Little Ladies) more than anything and made lots of special memories with them.  Mike and Diane were together 37 years and when Diane passed away unexpectedly, in 2007, Mike still carried on caring for his father, and granddaughters, still taking them camping and cooking cheeseburgers for them, keeping them on the weekends and letting them do and eat whatever they wanted, picking them up from the skating rink, blasting his "Sherry Baby" song in the parking lot.  He loved his "Little Ladies" with all of his heart.   Everyone that crossed his path grew to love him.  Thank you to Katelyn, Brittany, Ashely, August, and the rest of his AMAZING Hospice Team with Bella Care. He loved his special friend Miss Mary Francis and his wonderful care team at McNaughten Pointe.  Although is physical body was failing, he always had the right words to comfort me, like "stop running from it and hit it head on", and to tell me what I needed to hear, straight up, no chaser, no filter. He told it like it was and spared no feelings. He helped everyone that asked.  He always shared whatever he had with others. He would often say, "sometimes you got to love others more than they hurt you", and "you either got it in you, or you don't".  Mike had it in him!! He had so much compassion and love for others.  He was the strongest man I have ever known. Mike Hill was my Rock, my Hero, My Daddy.
