Michael Lindsay Roberts was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 7, 1968 to Beverly Ann Taylor Roberts and Otis Michael Roberts.  His childhood was spent in Los Angeles, California where he attended Hawthorne Christian School and Morningside High School.  He graduated from West High School in Columbus, Ohio.  He also took acting classes.  He played baseball and loved golf. He married Tamara Jackson and to that union two lovely childen were born:  Salena Moné Roberts and Michael Lindsay Roberts II.  In 2005, he was blessed with another son, Malik Rashaad Roberts, whose mother is Jamie Cowart. Among his other interests he loved to restore old cars and later sell them.  With his childhood buddy, Gary Young, he purchased and refurbished homes for re-sale. He also authored a book entitled: A Hustle's Guide to Avoid Getting Railroaded . He was an avid sports enthusiast. At a recent family gathering in August, he took everyone on a boat ride. As a child he attended LA Christian Center, where he was baptized. Michael loved everybody.  Michael was generous to a fault; he was kind and family was so important. He made a quest of trying to locate many of his relatives. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Beverly Roberts, of Los Angeles and his father, Otis Michael (Veronica Sowell) Roberts, of Reynoldsville, Ohio; sister, Rosalyn Bowie (Darrel) of Los Angeles and brother, Calvin (Megan) Sowell III, Springfield, Virginia; his daughter, Salena Roberts, ex-wife Tamara Jackson Roberts of Orlando, Florida;  sons, Michael Lindsay (Nadia) Roberts II of Belleview, Florida,  Malik Rashaad Roberts of Columbus, Ohio; mother, Jamie Covant; Clearwater, Florida, grandson, Nazaire Roberts of Belleview, Florida; best friend, Gary Young, of Long Beach, California, and a host of other relatives, extended family and friends.
