Obituary

Millie Jarvis (September 10th, 1931 - August 21st, 2024) Millie Doris Jarvis of Columbus Ohio, went home to be with her Savior, after faithfully serving Him all of her almost 93 years. In her life she earned many prestigious titles both academic and spiritual. Graduating valedictorian from Sturgis High School (Sturgis KY) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown College (Georgetown KY). She was a blessed wife to and founding co-pastor alongside her husband Willard Jarvis, where they founded Whitehall Baptist Church, and then later Redeemers Church on Courtright. Together they changed the spiritual atmosphere of the city of Columbus. She was a spiritual leader and bible teacher for 40+ years in her Titus 2 women's group where she truly exemplified what it meant to be a Titus 2 woman. She is preceded in death by her husband James "Willard" Jarvis, son Jimmy, both of her parents and son-in-law Larry. She is survived by her brother Graves "Buddy" Collins, three beautiful daughters Jane (Larry), Ruth, and Joanna (Gregory), along with 3 grandchildren Allison, Amanda (Brent), and Gregory (Hanna). She also crowned the title of Great Gran to 7 great grandchildren that will dearly miss her. Her wisdom, strength, and hard-working spirit will leave a hole felt by so many. Her dear friend said it best for us all, we have lost a mom, grandma, great grandma, wonderful friend, teacher, mentor, great sense of humor, sister, co-laborer, encourager, and spiritual mother.
