Norma Alice McDade-Shamblin-Wilson, July 22, 1923-November 2, 2021, died peacefully at the age of 98. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Howard and Ray McDade, her husbands, James Shamblin and Robert Wilson. She is the oldest of six children: Thelma Reese (Herman), Ron McDade (Loretta), Don McDade (Linda), Wilma McGraw (Dale), and Oma Arnett (Norman). She is survived by her three sons: Gary Shamblin (Diana), Larry Shamblin (Diane) and Terry Shamblin (Donna). Granny has seven grandchildren and several great and great-great children. She is admired for her strength and gentle nature. Norma taught elementary school for 25 years, retiring from Columbus City School District. She was a member of Brookwood Presbyterian Church.
