Rafeal Albun Farris, "Pop Pop", went home to be with the Lord on September 21st, 2023, at the age of 67. He was born December 10th,1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Clarice Farris. Rafeal graduated from John F. Kennedy Senior High School, Cleveland, Ohio in 1973. He married Stephanie Garland on January 22nd,1977. Surviving are his wife, Stephanie Garland Farris of 47 years, sons, Rafeal W.A. (Niki) Farris, Christopher M. Farris and daughter Maria C. (Dominic) Guarnieri. His grandchildren, Rafeal E.A. (Esther) Farris, Geovanni Farris, Zarianna Farris, Izaac Abdul-Zahir, Nina Guarnieri and Liam Guarnieri. Great granddaughter Kora Mae Farris. Sisters Beverly Jones and Denise Farris along with a host of nieces and nephews. Rafeal was an executive chef for over 15 years working at Cleveland Convention Center, Cincinnati Convention Center and The Ohio State Fairgrounds. For the last 27 years he worked at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He enjoyed coaching his sons in wrestling and daughter in track and field. He supported his grandchildren by attending their sporting events and birthday parties. He recently attended the wedding of his eldest grandson Rafeal E.A. and Esther. Rafeal was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing the Congas. He also loved working in his yard and being outdoors. The family requests that all guests wear bright colors in celebration of Rafeal's joyful spirit. Funeral service Wednesday, September 27, 2023 6:00 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E. Livingston Ave. where friends may call from 4:00 PM until time of service. Pastor Patrick Elias officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Stephanie Farris to assist in funeral expenses.
