Richard Martin
Wolfe Ii
Jul 15, 1957 — Dec 18, 2024
Columbus
Richard "Rick" Martin Wolfe II, age 67, passed away on December 18, 2024, at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lola Wolfe, and his father and step-mother, Richard and Jane Wolfe.
Rick is survived by his sister, Rayna Dee Wolfe; niece, Katie Raye Wolfe and Katie's partner Barbie Garcia; children, Mark, Erik, and Amanda Wolfe; grandchildren, Adrian, Noah and Noah's mother Tianna Santamaria, Hildegard, Camden, and James Wolfe; daughters-in-law, Regina Held, Christina Wolfe (Irwin), and Stephanie Livingston; his former spouse, Marla Wolfe, and Marla's partner, Jeff Williams.
Rick worked for AT&T for over 30 years where he was a beloved colleague and friend. He was a diehard fan of the Buckeyes, Browns, Reds, and Blue Jackets. Some of the happiest times of Rick's life were his many years as a Blue Jackets Season Ticket Holder. Known as "Wolfeman", Rick was a fixture at Nationwide Arena where he loudly supported his beloved but often frustrating "same old Jackets", originated the now-famous "LEO!" chant and made countless friends along the way.
In retirement, Rick found loving companionship in his dogs Harley (RIP) and Buddy.
Rick was a talented cook and grill master. He was never happier than when he was in his backyard, grilling on his numerous Weber grills with a house full of hungry people waiting for his delicious grub. Christmas was his favorite time of the year. His loving presence will be deeply missed this Christmas and every Christmas Day to come.
Above all, Rick adored his family, his kiddos and his grandbabies. He was always welcoming with a big smile and a joke. He gave the best hugs.
Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Rick's life at Evans Funeral Home 4171 E. Livingston Ave. on Monday, December 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a service to share memories of Rick starting at 6:00 PM.
