A funeral service for Rita A. Carr, 88, of Columbus, Ohio will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday August 12, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. Friends may call 1 hour prior the service from 12pm-1pm August 12 at the funeral home.

Rita passed away on August 5, 2024.  She was born on January 14,1936 to the late Minnie Singleton in Spring Creek, Louisiana.

Rita was preceded in death by her mother, sisters Dorothy, Flora and Bertha and brother Mason.  She was also preceded by first husband Robert "Bob" Clark and son Kim Clark.

Rita is survived by her husband Don Carr, her sons Tim, Bob, and Jim (Lisa) Clark. Don's children Wyleta, Kimberly, Dianne and Lenny. Her grandchildren Heather (Mike) Severns, Laura (Andy) McGuff, Ashley (Nick) Bergeron, Amanda (Andrew) Breton, Vaughn Clark and Robert Clark. Great grandchildren Marie, Tony, Bella, Kaylee, Michael, Dale, Hadley, & Oliver Severns, Matthew Corkern, Andy Jr. & Kristopher McGuff, Richard & Lucas Bergeron and Ridley Clark.  Great-great grandchildren Kayson, Logan, Emerson, & Bella Corkern and Jackson Chambers Keen. Niece Carol and many friends. In addition to dear friend Kenneth Pope.

Rita retired from DSCC after 14 years of service.
