Rita Jo Crabtree age 79 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on December 8, 2024. She was born on January 9, 1945, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Charles "Chuck" and Freda (Penhorwood) Fillinger.  She was a graduate of Buckeye Local High School class of 1963. Rita worked at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in patient administration for 30 years.  She was a loving mother and kind, caring person who was always smiling, who loved movies, dogs and especially music- she enjoyed singing and playing many different instruments.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary with the American Legion Comrade-Whitehall Post #490 and attended Westphal Baptist Church.  Survived by her loving husband, Danny Crabtree; sons, from a previous marriage, Eric (Nicole) Kazmierczak of Marysville, Ohio. Aaron (Sheri) Kazmierczak of Westerville, Ohio, Chad Kazmierczak of Dallas, Texas, Tim (Megan) Kazmierczak of Columbus, Ohio, and Scott (Tonya) Kazmierczak of Hebron, Ohio; grandchildren, Megan, Hunter, Nathen, Matthew, AJ, Elise, Reigan, Landen, Collin, Hannah; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Dave) Harris of Bellefontaine, Ohio.  Preceded in death by brothers, William "Bill" Fillinger, Michael "Mike" Fillinger, Charles Robert "Bob" Fillinger; sisters, Carol (Don) Myers, Mary Jean "Jeannie" (Allan) McGee.  Funeral service Friday, December 13, 2024, 1:00 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E.
