Obituary

Roberta "Bobbie" Scholik, age 95, went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2022.  She was born August 29, 1927, in Buffalo, New York. After graduation from high school, she worked as a legal secretary. She later met her husband, Louis Scholik, Jr., at their workplace in Columbus, Ohio.  They were blessed with two children and from that point on, her most important job was being a mother.

Roberta was very active in their home church, Shady Lane Presbyterian in Columbus, OH. She served as an elder, worked in the food pantry and was active in the women's ministry.

Her beloved daughter, Anita Marie, passed away in 2007. Bobbie helped in raising her only grandson, Travis Echols, after her daughter's death. Travis's son, Declan, is her only great grandson and Travis brought him to visit her in July 2022.

In later years she moved to Memphis to be near her son and lived at The Parkview and The Glenmary at Evergreen. She enjoyed the years with friends in these communities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orpha Higgins and Charles Martin, her brothers Gerald and Harold Martin, and her twin brother, Robert "Bob" Martin.  She is survived by her son, Christopher Martin Scholik (Jamie), her grandson, Travis and great grandson, Declan. She had a special relationship with her twin's sons, Brad, Brian, and Jeff Martin and their families. She also leaves other family members and dear friends.
